We chose these two optics makers for their ability to product compact, hyper-accurate red dots that can take a beating in all weather and conditions. The Romeo MSR from Sig Sauer affords shooters with an ultra-compact red dot sight that provides unlimited eye relief and zero parallax error. Twelve brightness settings are available - 10 for daytime and 2 for night vision. Over 20,000 hours of battery life is provided on a single CR1632. It's all topped off by an aircraft-grade aluminum housing that sports an IPX-7 waterproof rating.
Want unlimited red dot life? Grab the Holosun 2-MOA Solar Red Dot instead. It provides similar performance and features while also providing solar-powered operation if your battery ever dies. Included is a "Smart" brightness setting that can adjust automatically to your shooting conditions via the shock- and waterproof solar panel atop the optic's housing. It, too, features full waterproofing (IP67) with a one-piece aluminum housing and a precision optic ran by a single battery with up to 50,000 hours of performance, no solar required.
