.308 Lower Receiver Compatibility
Lower Parts Kit: Due to the varying quality and compatibility of .308 builds, we recommend using our LR-308/AR-10 Lower Parts Kit (w/ Hammer and Trigger). This lower parts kit includes the correct bolt catch threaded pin as well which makes install a breeze.
Installation Instructions
Once your .308 80% lower is fabricated, follow these instructions to install your lower parts kit. Although this receiver uses .308 components, the steps required for assembly are identical to standard 5.56/.223-chambered AR-15 receivers.

The folks at 80% Lowers are in a word OUTSTANDING! I am doing my first lower milling project. I picked a blemished lower because it was cheaper and if I jacked it up it wouldn’t be as expensive of a foul (I probably shouldn’t have done a LR-308 for my first one but go big or whatever). I am using a 5D Tactical jig. I get halfway through the trigger pocket and I noticed the front side is milling into the bolt catch pocket by a hundredth of an inch. I shoot a chat to 80% lowers staff. Steve asks what happened, I sent him some picks and these guys send me a new one in the mail. They absolutely didn’t have to do that! It was blemished lower it says right here on the website that blems sales are final. I haven’t milled the second one but no matter what, these guys stand behind their product. More than likely it was tolerance stacking issue. However, they earned my loyalty with this customer service gesture! I mean you can’t beat their prices or their service. Incredible experience!

It was fine other than the 1/4in. lip on each side on the top after I milled out. I just yeah, cut it level like it was never there
