Sometimes, receivers get a ding or scratch — it’s just part of forging gun parts. We discount these cosmetically blemished 80% lowers to reflect these flaws. Each lower is 100% functional and as strong as any other receiver. This receiver blank features a matte black anodized finish that perfectly matches any upper receiver. Patrick Gleason –
I haven’t milled these out yet, but other than minor (and I mean minor – you have to look) cosmetic blemishes, there’s no reason to doubt they’ll be equally as up to the task as the others I’ve used. Besides, for this kind of rifle for me it’s about functionality first – I’m not trying to build safe queens or win beauty contests. For the price, I would definitely get them again.
Robert Perdue –
The lowers look like new. No complaints!!
John Crane –
Very solid and well made. I’m not sure what made them blemished but I’ll take it!
Allen Price –

It will have easier to find cosmetic issues after the first time on the range than it has out of the box. It even came with the two set screws to use instead of the roll pins. My only concern is what caliber to choose for this build.
