Our new and improved billet AR-9 80% lower is here!
Featuring an updated design with better aesthetics, a new magazine catch and ejector fasteners, our second generation AR-9 80% lower is better than ever. Made from quality billet 6061-T6 aluminum. Compatible with standard AR-15 lower parts kit components, and all 9mm AR uppers.
ONLY compatible with standard 9mm GLOCK® OEM magazines.
- LRBHO (Last Round Bolt Hold Open) – Since our AR-9 lowers do not house an internal linkage for the bolt catch, you’ll need an upper receiver with integrated LRBHO to keep the bolt back on an empty magazine. Double-check your upper’s specs to ensure full functionality.

Assembling Your 80% Lower
Once your lower is fabricated, it’s time to assemble it. You’ll need the following components:
*Although made to chamber 9mm, this lower still uses a standard AR-15 (5.56/.223) lower parts kit and standard AR-15 buffer tube.

Just finished putting lower together, finish and fit are amazing with an aero upper. Has to be the best fit out of all of the ar’s that I’ve built, between the upper and lower. Only problem I had was that the hole for the safety detent needed to be drilled deeper ,so that the detent would engage with the safety selector all the way, not much maybe a 1/16 . Overall very impressed with the product.

It took a little while to get the lower but, upon receiving and inspecting it, this product is the same as every other receiver I have purchased from 80% Lowers. All the markings and the finish are flawless. The only issues I have are with the mag release that comes with the lower. The stud could be longer. It only threads about half way through the button on the left side. It’s purely an aesthetics issue and functions perfectly. The other issue, if it is one, is that I would like to see a stronger spring for the right side mag release. It seems a little too easy to accidentally drop the mag with just light pressure on the release. Neither of these has been a problem, just personal preferences I suppose. 5 stars all the way.

Thankfully, I had been dying to build a 9mm rifle so there was no arm twisting necessary 🙂 The built-in features on this 9mm/ AR9 lower receiver are pretty badass. They’re not in the description but they are below: – Threaded bolt catch hole – Threaded rear takedown detent hole – Included bolt catch and detent screws – Included hex key for installation – Broached mag well – Enhanced, heavy-duty trigger guard This is inarguably the best AR9 80% lower available for us builders. Good job, 80-Lower!

I don’t know why AR-9 80 percenters are so difficult to find but it is nice to have one that comes anodized. At first, I thought it was a little pricey but my research suggested that this was actually a very fair price point. Will be back!
