Our new and improved billet AR-9 80% lower is here!
Featuring an updated design with better aesthetics, a new magazine catch and ejector fasteners, our second generation AR-9 80% lower is better than ever. Made from quality billet 6061-T6 aluminum. Compatible with standard AR-15 lower parts kit components, and all 9mm AR uppers.
ONLY compatible with standard 9mm GLOCK® OEM magazines.
- LRBHO (Last Round Bolt Hold Open) – Since our AR-9 lowers do not house an internal linkage for the bolt catch, you’ll need an upper receiver with integrated LRBHO to keep the bolt back on an empty magazine. Double-check your upper’s specs to ensure full functionality.

Assembling Your 80% Lower
Once your lower is fabricated, it’s time to assemble it. You’ll need the following components:
*Although made to chamber 9mm, this lower still uses a standard AR-15 (5.56/.223) lower parts kit and standard AR-15 buffer tube.

Finished up my AR9 build with the 9MM AR 80% Lower. Worked perfectly without any additional adjustments or issues. It machined out just like any other ar15 lower. That’s the exact reason I purchased it here at 80% Lowers. I didn’t want any hassle with a special jigs or additional machining to force it to work. Worked out well. After machining, assembled this with a FM Products upper. Zero function issues. 1 caution though. Be careful with the set ***** that replaces the roll pin for the bolt hold back. I cross-threaded mine. I was able to salvage it. Not the part’s fault, but something to remember since it is a small part. Overall finish and parts quality was good. I’m very happy with the lower.
